To provide a differential gear device for a vehicle, including a torque-sensitive differential gear mechanism generating differential limiting force in response to torque and a speed sensitive differential limiting means generating differential limiting force in response to a differential rotating speed, solving the problems of increasing the size of the differential gear device for a vehicle and increasing in weight placing limitations on loading to the vehicle because the torque sensitive differential gear mechanism and the speed sensitive differential limiting means, which are all constructed independently, are simply arranged side by side in the axial direction.
This differential gear device for a vehicle includes: a pressing member 20 receiving the thrust force applied to a planetary gear 15 of a torque sensitive differential gear device 10a, and further it includes a speed sensitive pressing force generating means 10b for pressing the pressing member 20 toward the planetary gear 15 with the pressing force depending on the front wheel side and rear wheel side differential rotating speed.
