Abstract:

To provide a differential for vehicle which can obtain a stable differential limit force and suppress a pinion gear and a pinion gear shaft from being burnt.

A pinion gear shaft 50 includes second pinion gear supporting surfaces 50A, 50B rotatably supporting pinion gears 3, 4 while sliding on inner circumferential surfaces of shaft insertion holes 3D, 4D, and is arranged at a location at which relative rotation around a rotary axis O is not restricted with a differential case 2. The pinion gears 3, 4 are formed by second sliding surfaces 30A, 40A and third sliding surfaces 31A, 41A in which the inner circumferential surfaces of the shaft insertion holes 3D, 4D can slide the second pinion gear supporting surfaces 50A, 50B, and non-sliding surfaces 32A, 42A which cannot slide the second pinion gear surfaces 50A, 50B; and these second sliding surfaces and the third sliding surfaces, and the non-sliding surfaces are arranged at locations mutually adjacent along an axis direction of the shaft insertion holes 3D, 4D.
