Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver and a television receiver that can quickly and easily realize program selection.
SOLUTION: A user uses a remote commander 4 to designated prescribed attribute of a program. A CPU 201 extracts a program with an attribute designated by the remote commander 4 among programs stored in a memory 202 to specify a received program. However, when the CPU 201 extracts programs, the CPU 201 decides on the priority of each of the extracted programs according to a predetermined criterion and specifies the program with the highest priority among the priorities as the program to be received. Furthermore, the CPU 201 specifies a program having second highest priority as the program to be received, when the remote commander 4 designates the same attribute again. Then the CPU 201 allows the television receiver 3, to immediately output the video image and the audio signal of the specified program.
