Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel dilatant liquid which maintains its liquid state across a wide temperature range, is excellent in conservation stability and high in mechanical strength, and exhibits a high viscous resistance change rate upon an increase in shear stress.
SOLUTION: The composition, which comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of inorganic fine particles having a primary particle diameter of 2 nm-30 μm, (B) 0.5-100 pts.wt. of a particle dispersing agent, and (C) 5-1,000 pts.wt. of a silicone medium, is found to exhibit a remarkably excellent dilatancy.
