Abstract:
To provide a new organic solvent-soluble dioxazine compound and uses thereof.
The new dioxazine compound is represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R and R' are each an alkyl group or an alkyl ether group; and R and R' may each be the same functional group or a different functional group). Since the compound assumes a reddish purple color and is soluble in organic solvents, the compound can be used as a coloring material such as a dye. Since the compound emits green fluorescence, the compound is useful as a luminous layer of an organic electroluminescent (EL) element.
