PURPOSE: To provide the direct teaching handle which is high in freedom degree and excellent in operating performance in order to teach the locus of each working point to a robot.
CONSTITUTION: In the direct teaching hand for direct teaching where an operator holds a grip fixed to the wrist 1 of a robot, and moves the wrist 1 along the locus of each working point, a switch directing each teach point is provided for the grip, and a hinge 8 which is bent around shafts 71 and 72 provided in parallel with the wrist, and rotated around a guide post 2 provided while being perpendicularly intersected with the shafts 71 and 72, is interposed between the wrist and the grip. The handle is provided with a mechanism which changes an angle formed by wrist 1 and the grip 9 by restricting/releasing the bending/ rotation of the aforesaid hinge 8, and with a mechanism which changes the rotating position of the grip 9 by restricting/releasing the rotation of the grip 9.
