Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality by a method wherein direct thermal image is formed on recording material consisting of heat-sensitive layer containing substantially non-photosensitive organic silver salt and reducer, which is present in the other layer on the same side as the heat-sensitive layer and/or the support having the heat-sensitive layer, on support.
SOLUTION: Recording material containing heat-sensitive layer including substantially non-photosensitive organic silver salt, protective layer including baked china clay dispersed in binder and reducer, which is present in the other layer on the same side as the heat-sensitive layer and/or the support having the heat-sensitive layer, is provided on support. Further, the imaging method employing the recording material is provided. The obtained image can be used for medical diagnoses.
