Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight capable of preventing hue of a peripheral edge part in a light-emitting region from being more remarkable than hue of a center part in the light-emitting region, in light emission.SOLUTION: A backlight 10a includes: at least one light source 1 for emitting primary light; an optical plate 2 arranged adjacently to the light source 1, and configured to guide or diffuse light; and a quantum dot sheet 3 arranged on a light emission side of the optical plate 2. The quantum dot sheet 3 has a quantum dot-containing layer containing quantum dots for absorbing primary light and emitting secondary light. The quantum dot sheet 3 is arranged so as to exist beyond at least a part of the outer periphery of an effective range D of the optical plate 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
