Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a re-machining station, capable of directing a controlled heat quantity to a possibly limited region for replacing defective components of a circuit board, etc. CONSTITUTION: This re-machining station 1 comprises means 12, 13 for supporting a circuit board 2 and infrared radiation source 4, which has a linear infrared heater element conformed with the outline of a component. This element position is adjustable to be located immediately above and at the side of a connector leg of the component on the circuit board 2. The station 1 has a power control means 6 for controlling the power to be fed to the element, and the power is fed in one or more heating cycles of specified power and duration time.
