Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sublimation pattern casting for removal of a dross resulting from a reaction of gas produced by burning of a sublimation pattern polymer with in-molten-metal magnesium.SOLUTION: A method for sublimation pattern casting comprises arranging in a mold 13 a pattern 22 having a shape similar to a casting and to be fused by molten metal, filling an interior of the mold 13 with molding sand 23, arranging a hollow tube 24 in a manner communicating from a position adjacent to a non-design surface 26 of the pattern 22 to a position higher than an upper surface of the molding sand 23, pouring molten metal in the mold 13 and fusing the pattern 22, and discharging gas produced by fusing of the pattern 22 to an outside of the molding sand 23 through the hollow tube 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
