Abstract:
To provide a discharge circuit capable of detecting short-circuit failures.SOLUTION: A discharge circuit comprises: a first resistor whose one end is electrically connected with a high potential side terminal of a capacitor; a first switching element whose first terminal is electrically connected with the other end of the first resistor, whose second terminal receives a control signal that becomes a first level when discharge of the capacitor is to be performed and becomes a second level when discharge of the capacitor is not to be performed, and whose third terminal is electrically connected with a reference potential; a comparator whose first input terminal is applied with a voltage depending on a voltage of the capacitor and whose second input terminal is applied with a threshold voltage, and that outputs a signal based on comparison between the voltage depending on the voltage of the capacitor and the threshold voltage; and a voltage setting circuit that sets a voltage at the first input terminal or the second input terminal of the comparator to a predetermined voltage on the basis of a voltage at the first terminal of the first switching element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
