Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make a discharge lamp device be excellent in strength and sealing compared with joining by adhesive, and to dispense heating and drying in a furnace for a long time by making both a globe for shading ultraviolet rays and an insulating disc of glass and integrally welding the joining part.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating disc 30 is composed of glass, and also the engaged part, between the rear end opening part of a glass-made globe 50 for shading ultraviolet ray and the disc 30, is welded with a laser, etc., to be sealed. In a lead supporting through hole 31 of the disc 30, a peripheral edge part is welded to be sealed, and in through hole 33 of an arc tube 10, the rear end part of a tube 10 is welded to a hole 33 to be sealed. Inactive gas such as Ar, etc., is sealed up in the globe 50. The nonuse of inorganic system adhesive ensures the fixedly retaining of the globe 50 even used for a long period, eliminating the deposition of SiO2 on the arc tube 10 surface, and moreover, manufacturing can be completed in a short time.
