Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to discriminate it easily and reliably whether or not a nut for a joint mounted on a pipe end part, such as a hose, has an inside diameter responding to a kind of a pipe and to provide a device employing the method.
SOLUTION: A cap nut 10 being an object to be discriminated is fitted in a discriminating rod 14 and caused to effect lowering movement along the discriminating rod 14. First and second hook parts 44 and 46 corresponding to the inside size of a specified kind of a nut being a target are provided and depending upon whether or not the nut is held in a hooked state at the first and second hook parts 44 and 46, it is discriminated whether or not a nut has an inside diameter demanded by the cap nut 10. In this case, it is detected by a photo sensor, having projection parts 62 and 64 and a light receiving parts 68 and 70, whether the bag nut 10 is held by a first hook part 44 or a second hook part 46.
