To provide a disk brake for a vehicle that can energizes a friction pad having exceeded preset abrasion loss toward a non-disk-rotor side with stronger force when braking is canceled.
A pad return spring 7 includes: a base part 7a which is arranged in a disk axial direction at an intermediate position between a pair of friction pads 6 outside the pair of friction pads 6 in a disk radial direction; a pair of first spring parts 7b which extend apart from each other from both end parts of the base part 7a along an outer periphery of a disk rotor 2; and engagement parts 7c which are provided atop of the first spring parts 7b respectively and engage the friction pads 6. The base part 7a includes a second spring part 7d formed by hollowing a disk axial intermediate part in the extending direction of the first spring parts 7b.
