Abstract:
To provide a dispersion liquid capable of continuously developing high-brightness color development peculiar to a structural color as well as color development with angle dependence over a wide area and forming a decorative layer excellent in heat resistance and the like and composed of an inorganic substance having luster and high bonding strength, a method for producing the same at low costs in terms of both raw materials and equipment, which is safe and has a low environmental load, and a decorative article produced by using the dispersion liquid and exhibiting an aesthetically excellent structural color continuously in a desired region.SOLUTION: A dispersion liquid comprising substantially spherical inorganic fine particles and an unreacted component of an alkoxide raw material of the inorganic fine particles forms an aggregate in which the particles are bonded to each other without disturbing the periodic arrangement structure of the inorganic fine particles with the evaporation of a solvent, and expresses a structural color. The inorganic fine particles are caused to precipitate by liquid phase synthesis using an alkoxide raw material to prepare the dispersion liquid comprising the inorganic fine particles and the unreacted component of the alkoxide raw material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
