Abstract:
To enable a user ID and a password to be input at the same time in such a manner that no one will see them.
A character 4 is selected by a user operating a remote controller over an input screen for the user ID and the password to verify the user. When the user depresses a determining button, the character selected is determined as the character to be input and a blank corresponding to the input character is displayed in an ID frame 1 or a password frame 2. This invention is applicable to an authentication system.
