To provide a display control unit that allows a display section to perform display, corresponding to the acceleration of a vehicle that has been calculated with precision.

The display control unit for controlling a display section of a vehicle includes a speed acquisition means of successively acquiring speed data for identifying the traveling speed of the vehicle at a specific interval; a speed recording means of successively recording the speed data that have been acquired by the speed acquisition means in a storage section; an acceleration acquisition means of acquiring the acceleration data for specifying acceleration of the vehicle, based on the most recent speed data acquired by the speed acquisition means and the speed data one previous to the most recent speed data recorded in the storage section; and a display control means of displaying a display content, corresponding to the acceleration specified by the acceleration data acquired by the acceleration acquisition means in the display section.
