To provide a display device for camera for achieving both noise reduction and visibility of a display unit using a liquid crystal, which is transparent under no voltage application, and requires high driving voltage.

A display device for camera comprises: displaying means that includes a plurality of photo assisting display units and displays them by superimposing on a photographing region; driving means for driving the displaying means to light on or off; lighting means for lighting so as to visualize a display of the displaying means; imaging means for receiving light flux obtained through an optical member; brightness detecting means for detecting brightness obtained through the displaying means; and controlling means for displaying a specified display unit out of the plurality of display units and controlling the driving means by adjusting driving voltage so as to enable the lighting means to adjust brightness. The control means is configured to adjust the driving voltage of the driving means so that influence of noise is decreased depending on control contents of the imaging means, and to adjust control contents of the lighting means so that influence on the displaying means by the adjusted driving voltage of the driving means is corrected.
