To provide a display device, in which a diffusion plate can be positioned relative to a support body at a position facing one end of the row of light guide plates and the position of a display unit disposed opposing to the diffusion plate, relative to the support body, can be easily stabilized.
In the display device, one rim side of the other face of the light guide plate 23 having a light-exiting face 23b on one rim side of one surface and a non-light-exiting face 23c on the other rim side, and the non-light-exiting face 23c of the adjoining light guide plate 23 are overlapped and arranged in a row, and there are included: a diffusion plate 3 opposing to the light-exiting faces 23b of the light guide plates 23 and diffusing the light exiting from the light-exiting faces 23b; and a support body 24 for supporting the light guide plates 23. The device is configured to be capable of positioning the whole perimeter of the diffusion plate 3 relative to the support body 24 without forming the diffusion plate 3 in large size by mounting a receptacle 5 that supports the diffusion plate 3, in one rim part of the support body 24 at a position facing one end of the row of the light guide plates 23 and opposing to one face in the circumference part of the diffusion plate 3.
