PURPOSE: To always display horizontally long and vertically long images so as to be easily visible without making a useless space on a display screen by supporting a main body provided with a roughly rectangular display screen area so as to be freely rotatable, so that it can be selected arbitrarily as a vertically long screen or a horizontally long screen of the display screen area.

CONSTITUTION: A main body 12 provided with a roughly rectangular display screen area for displaying an image, and an L-shaped supporting base 14 for supporting this main body 12 so as to be freely rotatable are coupled through a rotary mechanism 16. In case a display device 10 is, for instance, a vertically long display screen, the main body 12 is rotated by 90° by loosening a handle 18 for fixing a rotary shaft of the rotary mechanism 16 and thereafter, when the rotary shaft of the rotary mechanism 16 is fixed by tightening the handle 18, said screen becomes a horizontally long display screen. In such a way, horizontally long and vertically long images can be displayed so as to be easily visible at all times without making a useless space on the display screen.
