Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having excellent display quality and reduced power consumption.SOLUTION: A display device has a pixel having a reflective element, a light emitting element, a first pixel circuit that drives the reflective element, and a second pixel circuit that drives the light emitting element. In a first period in which first image data written into the first pixel circuit is updated to update a transmittance of the reflective element, the display device writes second image data into the second pixel circuit for a second period shorter than the first period to make the light emitting element emit light. The structure makes it possible to compensate for a change of brightness due to the reflective element, with the light emission obtained by pulse driving of the light emitting element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
