To provide a display stand provided with a mechanism capable of preventing falling of a self-standing thin-shaped TV or a self-standing thin display with a simple configuration without spoiling the appearance.

In the TV stand (display stand) 10 for the self-standing thin-shaped TV 1, a television support plate 19 is fitted in parallel under a ceiling plate 11 via an interval support plate 20, and between them, a support plate insertion part 21 to which a support plate 4 of the thin-shaped TV 1 can be inserted from a rear side is formed. A support leg insertion groove 22 is formed to the ceiling plate 11 by notching the ceiling plate from the rear side forwardly, and the support leg 3 of the flat TV 1 can be inserted from the rear side thereto. In a state that the thin-shaped TV 1 mounted to the TV stand 10 from the rear side, falling of the thin-shaped TV 1 is prevented by the ceiling plate 11 and the television support plate 19. Since the support plate 4 is hidden in the mount state, good looking is secured.
