Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically demolish and dispose a sodium-sulfur battery while recovering useful materials from it.
CONSTITUTION: A shifting device 5 shifting a sodium-sulfur battery in sequence in a heating tank 4 with its opening section faced downward is provided on the heating tank 4. A sodium discharging means such as a nozzle 8 or a brush 18 is provided at the sodium discharge position in the heating tank 4, and an extracting head 9 chucking an inner tube to extract it downward is provided at the inner tube extraction position in the heating tank 4. A sealing means 16 of the opening section of the sodium-sulfur battery is provided on the shifting device 5, and the sodium-sulfur battery can be shifted into the heating tank 4 while the opening section is sealed.
