To provide a distilled water-producing device which hardly causes variations in pressure in a distilled water-producing system and easily produces distilled water of high purity; and to provide a distilled water-producing method.
The distilled water-producing device includes: a steam-generating part which accommodates raw material water in its internal part and heats the raw material water to generate steam; and a cooling part which has a releasing opening which releases a gas whose boiling point is lower than that of water and cools the steam to produce distilled water. In this case, the device is provided with an air chamber having a feeding opening into which a purified gas is fed, an atmospheric opening which communicates with the open air, and a communication opening which communicates with the releasing opening of the cooling part. In addition, the releasing opening communicates with the communication opening in a sealed state.
