Title:
DIVIDED PROJECTION METHOD FOR STARRY SKY IN PLANETARIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3461478
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided projection method of a starry sky in a planetarium which is capable of reproducing the natural and real starry sky without executing assembly of high accuracy even when stars are set in a large number.
SOLUTION: A celestial sphere dome is divided into a plurality and adjacent regions are projected to partly overlap each other. The partly overlapping portions are defined as boundary regions 12 and the non-overlapping portions as exclusive regions 11. The fixed stars included in the boundary regions 12 are set so as to be probably included in any of the regions by the positions within the boundary regions 12. The projection parts are divided into partially overlap each other in a manner described above, by which the unnaturality of the starry sky of the whole sky projection may be eliminated in spite of the occurrence of a minor offset in the projected regions.
