Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply-structured door locking device manufactured at a low cost and provided with an excellent operation feeling.
SOLUTION: This door locking device is provided with a striker fixed to either of a door or a vehicle body, a locking mechanism arranged in the other for locking/unlocking the striker, a switching lever turnable around the rotation center axis between an operation position and an idle position by means of a key device, a lock releasing member 26 supported slidably on the switching lever radially from the rotation center axis, and a locking operation member sliding the lock releasing member 26 on the switching lever. When the switching lever is in the operation position, the lock releasing member 26 is positioned in a moving force transmittable position to the locking mechanism and transmits a moving force to the locking mechanism according to a sliding action based on the operation of the locking operation member for releasing the lock. When the switching lever is in the idle position, the lock releasing member 26 is in a moving force untransmittable position to the locking mechanism and idly works on the locking mechanism according to a sliding action based on the operation of the locking operation member.
