PURPOSE: To engage two hinge members properly and without lowering working efficiency by a method wherein a measuring means to measure the position of a hinge member on the car body is mounted to a door carrying means, and based on the measuring information, memory information of a control means is corrected.
CONSTITUTION: The position of a hinge member H1 of a car body B positioned in an engaging spot Q2 is measured by means of a measuring means W mounted to a door carrying means A, and based on the measuring information, a control means corrects recording information according to which the carrying means A is actuated in response to a kind of a car. Thus, even when displacement in position occurs to the door carrying means A actuated to a door engaging position Q2, by correcting memory information based on measuring information, a hinge member H2 of a door D is properly engaged with the hinge member H1 of the car body B. This constitution enables execution of a proper and high-efficient door engaging work.
