To provide a door the step of which is inconspicuous and the aesthetic appearance of which is improved even if the lengths of the buried parts of both surface panels are different.
This door 3 is formed by winding and joining a surface panel 2 on one and the other surfaces of a frame-like or plate-like core 1. The both surface panels 2 comprises center parts 21 corresponding to one and the other surfaces of the core 1, side parts 22 which are adjacent to both sides of the center parts 21 and correspond to the side end surfaces of the core 1, and the buried parts 23 which are adjacent to the outer sides of the side parts 22 and buried in the grooves 10 formed in the longitudinal direction of the side end surfaces of the core 1. A V-groove 20 is formed in the rear surfaces of both surface panels which are wrapped around the core 1 between the center parts 21 and the side parts 22 and between the side parts 22 and the buried parts 23. The center parts 21 of the surface panels 2 are joined to one and the other surfaces of the core 1, respectively. The side parts 22 of the surface panels 2 are joined to the side end surfaces of the core 1, respectively, and the buried parts 23 of the surface panels 2 are buried in the grooves 10 in the side end surfaces of the core 1, respectively. The front surfaces of the portions of the surface panels 2 between the buried parts 23 and the side parts 22 are chamfered 5.
