Abstract:
To provide a dose prediction system that precisely evaluates an exposure dose of the particle beam, and thereby supports therapy by the irradiation of the particle beam, and also provide a dose prediction method and a dose estimation program.SOLUTION: A support apparatus 20 includes: an irradiation device 31 for irradiating a particle beam; a detection device 32 for measuring an irradiation area of the particle beam; and a control unit 21 for estimating an exposure dose irradiated by the irradiation device 31. The control unit 21 is configure to: determine a reference area containing reference atoms in a portion of the irradiation area of the particle beam irradiation; measure, by using detection device 32, a reference area radioactivity distribution generated by the reference atoms in the reference area when the particle beam is irradiated by the irradiation device 31, and an intracorporal reference radioactivity distribution generated by intracorporal reference atoms; and calculate an exposure dose corresponding to the intracorporal reference radioactivity distribution according to an atomic density of the reference atoms in the reference area and the reference area radioactivity distribution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
