Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow high-speed sailing even if the length/width ratio of a hull is small by fitting a frame longitudinally movably on both the right and left hulls and erecting a mast longitudinally tiltably on the front end of this frame. CONSTITUTION:When the wind is weak, a frame 8 is set to the front so that the weight of a driver is applied nearly to the center of a hull 1, thereby the trim is reduced, and the prismatic curve with little wave making resistance of the hull 1 at a low speed can be obtained. On the contrary, when the wind is strong, the frame 8 is set to the rear so that the weight of the driver is shifted backward from the center of the hull 1, the stern trim is attained, and a ship pattern easy to sail is obtained. The tilt angle of a mast is changed as the trim is adjusted, but as fulcrum P provided at the middle section of the mast 10 is fixed to the hull 1 by stays 14, 15, and its relative position to the hull 1 is not changed.
