PURPOSE: To provide a double eccentric valve in which the seal property of a packing can be improved and a valve rod can be easily inserted and assembled.
CONSTITUTION: In a double eccentric valve having a valve body consisting of a valve casing 10 and a bonnet 20, a ball valve element 30 whose upper and lower parts are supported to be rotated, a valve rod 50 rotated together with this ball valve element 30, and a sheet ring 40 which is arranged on either an inflow port side or an outflow port side, and pushes the ball valve element 30 under an enclosed condition, a flange part 51 by which a packing 60 arranged between the valve casing 10 and the bonnet 20 is pushed and pressed from its lower part, is arranged in the lower part of the valve rod 50. The ball valve element 30 has arms in its upper and lower parts, and an upper passing hole 34 through which the flange part 51 of the valve rod 50 is passed and a lower passing hole 35 in which a supporting pin 9 is mounted are respectively opened to an upper arm 32 and a lower arm 33. After the ball valve 30 is stored in the valve casing 10, the valve rod 50 is passed through the upper passing hole 34 by being inserted through an interval between the upper and lower arms of the ball valve element 30, and also the valve rod 50 and the upper arm 32 are connected to each other by means for transmitting rotation.
