PURPOSE: To provide a valve whose sealing property for external leakage is improved.
CONSTITUTION: In a valve which is equipped with a valve casing 10 having a valve element 30 in its inside, a valve rod 50 which is inserted in from the opening hole of the upper part of the valve casing 10 and whose lower end is engaged with the valve element 30, and a bonnet 20 in/through which this valve rod 50 is inserted and passed and which is fixed to the upper part of the valve casing 10, a flange 51 is arranged in the lower part of the valve rod 50, and a first seal member 60 is arranged between this flange part 51 and the lower end of the bonnet 20. Means 23 by which the valve rod 50 is always pulled up is arranged in the upper part of the valve rod 50 so that the first seal member 60 is pressed at the lower end of the bonnet 20, and also shrunk from its top and bottom by pulling up the valve rod 50, therefore, the enclosed sealing between the opening hole side of the valve casing 10 and the valve rod 50 side can be carried out.
