Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seal between a valve body and a valve seat and prevent leakage of fluid from between the valve body and the valve seat even if a force for floating-up the valve body out of the valve seat acts against the valve body when the valve body fully closes.SOLUTION: EGR valve including a double eccentric valve comprises a valve seat 38, a valve body 39, a rotating shaft 40 and a flow passage. The flow passage is separated into an upstream side flow passage and a downstream side flow passage with the valve seat 38 being applied as an interface and the valve body 39 is arranged at the upstream side flow passage. The valve body 39 includes a first side part 39A and a second side part 39B with a virtual plane V1 extending in parallel with a direction where an axis line L2 of the valve body 39 extends from an axis line L1 of the rotating shaft 40 being applied as an interface. When the valve body 39 is turned from a full-closed state toward a valve opening direction, the first side part 39A is turned to the downstream side flow passage and the second side part 39B is turned toward the upstream side flow passage. In order to restrict a turning motion of the valve body 39 in a valve closing direction under its full-closed state, a valve closing stopper 65 is arranged at the first side part 39A in such a way that it can be engaged with the first side part 39A. In addition, there is provided a valve closing spring (rotation biasing means) for rotationally biasing the valve body 39 kept under its full-closed state toward the valve closing direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
