PURPOSE: To reduce oscillations and noises and elongate life of a thrust bearing by forming a semi-circular area where application moment is maximum as an escape surface, and securing a gap in respect to an abutting race.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure receiving seat 51 formed on a boss of a tilting plate 5 is formed with an escape surface (a) prepared by cutting a semi-circular area in a stepped form corresponding to a tilting angle phase of the tilting plate 5 when maximum moment is applied. A gap C is formed in respect to an inner race 61 by means of the escape surface (a). The escape surface (a) may be formed obliquely cutting the sea-circular area toward an outer peripheral side. In such a structure, reception of moment based on compression repulsion is distributed to a radial bearing which supports a driving shaft 1, and load to a thrust bearing 6A is reduced.
