Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a range which can be actually used as a pump a flow rate range low enough against a specification flow rate in a double throat pump.
SOLUTION: This pump is constituted to store and arrange an open impeller 12 in the inside of a circular pump casing 10, to symmetrically provide a pair of throats 14, 15 on a peripheral wall part of the pump casing 10, to discharge pump handling liquid fown in from a common pump suction port from each of the throats and to discharge the discharge liquid from a common pump discharge port 18 by converging it. The one throat 14 is set to open in rectilinear L and orthogonal a1 (=90°) directions against the one peripheral wall part of the pump casing 10 crossing with the rectilinear line L passing through a center of the impeller 12, and the other throat 15 is set to open in the rectilinear L and acute angular a2 (90°) directions against the other peripheral wall part of the pump casing 10 crossing with the rectilinear line L.
