Abstract:

To provide a doubler assembly repairing at least one damaged opening of a composite flange, and a method of repairing a composite arch-type flange having at least one damaged opening.

The doubler assembly (24) repairs at least one damaged opening (14a) of the composite flange. The doubler assembly (24) includes an insertion member, an adhesive agent and a support. The insertion member is arranged in the damaged opening (14a) to enable transmission of a compressing load passing through the composite flange (12). The adhesive agent is directly placed on at least a part of the composite flange in the vicinity of the damaged opening. The support is placed on the adhesive agent.
