Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for drawing (rolling) a drape of a shadow mask sheet of a nickel-iron alloy which has a desirable thermal expansion property to be used for a shadow mask but is difficult to be mechanically processed. CONSTITUTION: Annealing of a shadow mask sheet is carried out for a sufficient period to cause recrystallization at 700-820 deg.C. Then, the shadow mask sheet is kept at a temperature from 150 deg.C to 250 deg.C during the drawing process as to give 0.2% yield strength to the shadow mask sheet at 150 N/mm<2> tensile stress or lower.
