Abstract:
To provide a vibration control structure of a building capable of solving a problem accompanying PCa formation of a wall and reliably exhibiting expected damping force at the time of an earthquake.SOLUTION: A vibration control structure consists of a pair of RC columns, a pair of RC beams, an RC wall provided on a plane of structure surrounded by them, and a vibration control damper provided on the wall. The wall includes a first wall member made of PCa concrete disposed on the left side of the plane of structure, and a second wall member made of PCa concrete disposed on the right side of the plane of structure at a distance from the first wall member. The first wall member has a base end rigidly joined to the left column and upper and lower ends spaced from the pair of beams. The second wall member has a base end rigidly joined to the right column and upper and lower ends spaced from the pair of beams. The vibration control damper includes an energy absorbing member disposed between the first wall member and the second wall member and joined to free ends of the first wall member and the second wall member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
