The dresser for the abrasive cloth is provided wherein a plurality of abrasive grains are fixed in a single layer, onto the surface of a resin supporting material, a metal layer exists between the resin supporting material and the abrasive grains, and the surface of the metal layer on the side contacting the resin supporting material, has irregularities. Preferably, the metal layer exists only between the resin supporting material and the abrasive grain.
