PURPOSE: To obtain a telescoping mast assembly containing a plurality of interconnected mast sections by successively interpolating large, medium and small different diametral cylindrical bodies, installing bendable rigid drive means into the large and medium cylindrical bodies and bringing an internal cylindrical body to a telescopic manner at a free place.
CONSTITUTION: A telescoping mast structure 10 is composed of elevatory and retractable medium-place mast section 14 and upper mast section 16 to a lowermost-section mast 12 and a drive assembly 38 mounted on the inside between the lower-section mast section 12 and the medium-place mast section 14. The mast sections 12, 14, 16 are formed in cylindrical bodies, and external- cylinder flanges 20, 24 are set up to the lower-section mast 12 and the medium- place mast section 14, and can be extended and contracted on the inside and outside of the adjacent cylinders. The drive assembly 38 is formed of a drive element 40 and an element to be driven 42 comprising chains, chain links or the like. Accordingly, the telescoping mast assembly, in which a telescoping mechanism by air pressure is made unnecessary, can be manufactured.
