Abstract:
To provide a drive controller for allowing efficient continuous driving of a motor when a short failure occurs inside an inverter.
A control part detects "short failure" of FETs 11-16 and 21-26. The short failure means that the FETs 11-16 and 21-26 are constantly ON. When finds any one of short failures of the FETs 11-16 and 21-26, the control part turns OFF the corresponding three switches among six cut-off switches 71-76. For example, if a short failure is found at FET (Su+) 11 of one inverter 10, the control part turns OFF the three cut-off switches 71-73 corresponding to the inverter 10. The control part continues to control the other inverter 20.
