Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device of a pressing member for a printing medium that allows the pressing member to retreat to a position in which the printing medium and an ink ribbon can be easily and smoothly replaced.SOLUTION: When a printing unit 3 is opened, a print head 60 provided at the printing unit and a platen 55 provided at a printing device body 2 are separated from each other to expose a space S for work, and a second gear 15 rotates along a third gear 16 with rotation of the printing unit and rotation of the second gear is transmitted to a first gear 14, and then a pressing member 4 urged to a guide face 56 is rotated to retreat to a desired position separated from the space.
