To provide a drive device for a vehicle, capable of suppressing an increase in size of the device by eliminating mounting of an exclusive transmission relative to a second electric motor.
The drive device 2 includes: a power dividing mechanism 5 in which a carrier C is connected to an internal combustion engine, a sun gear S is connected to a first motor generator 4 and a ring gear R is connected to an output shaft 6 respectively; a first transmission mechanism including a first drive gear 31 and capable of rotating a drive wheel 10 in a normal direction; a second transmission mechanism including a second drive gear 32 and capable of rotating the drive wheel 10 in a reverse direction by shifting the input; a first clutch C1 for switching the state that the output shaft 6 and the first drive gear 31 are bonded and the state that the output shaft 6 and the second drive gear 32 are bonded; and a second clutch C2 and a third clutch C3 capable of switching a power output destination of the second motor generator 7 between the output shaft 6 and the second drive gear 32.
