Abstract:
PURPOSE: To adequately execute the right or left turn guidance even on a high specification road such as an expressway.
CONSTITUTION: Determination as to which of an entering link or an exiting link in terms of an intersection to be guided is a high specification road is made (step 101). When both of the entering link and existing link are not the high specifications, a relative angle θb of the exiting link against the entering link is compared with threshold angles θR, θL and the determination of instruction of right or left turning is made (step 102-105). On the other hand, when one of the entering link and exiting link is a high specification road, the determination of right or left turning is made in accordance with a magnitude relationship between the relative angle θb of the exiting link against the entering link and a relative angle θc between a connection link (non-leaving link) not to be instructed that is connected to the intersection to be guided and the entering link (step 106-109).
