Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive operation assisting device for a vehicle capable of understandably informing a driver of which obstacle existing around an own vehicle undergoes a steering reaction control.
SOLUTION: The drive operation assisting device 1 for the vehicle comprises one's own vehicle position detecting means 20 for detecting a relative position relation of one's own lane, an another vehicle detecting means 21 for detecting information about another vehicle travelling on a lane adjacent to the one's own lane, and steering reaction control means 50 and 60 for controlling a steering reaction occurring in a steering wheel 62 based on signals from the one's own vehicle position detecting means 20 and another vehicle detecting means 21. The steering reaction control means 50 and 60 change the steering reaction in response to the relative position relation of the one's own vehicle to the one's own lane detected by the one's own vehicle position detecting means 20, and change sensibility of a variation characteristic of the steering reaction in response to presence or absence of another vehicle detected by the another vehicle detecting means 21.
