To provide a drive transmission device which is capable of surely absorbing vibrations having occurred by a stepping motor and has a simple construction, and an image formation device equipped with the same.
In the drive transmission device 200 having a first gear 101 and a second gear 102 which are coaxially arranged, the first and second gears 101, 102 are provided with a rotation stoppers 120 and 121 on surfaces opposite to each other, respectively. In the state in which both rotation stoppers 120 and 121 are locked with each other to allow the second gear 102 to rotate in one rotation direction, a clearance is formed in other rotation direction between the rotation stoppers 120 and 121. The central angle of the clearance is larger than the rotation angle of the first gear 101 corresponding to an angle at which a drive gear rotates together with the rotation of the stepping motor at an angle four times the step angle.
