Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit of a fuel injection device, a minimum injection quantity of which is reduced by preventing unstable behavior of a valving element to expand a linear zone of fuel injection characteristics toward a low injection quantity side.SOLUTION: When a fuel injection device comes into a valve opening state, a high voltage source having voltage higher than a battery voltage applies voltage 410 to supply electric current to the fuel injection device. Then, the application of the voltage 410 from the high voltage source is stopped to lower the electric current supplied to the fuel injection device down to a current value 405 which cannot hold the opening state of a valving element. At a change to a holding current 408, a voltage 411 is applied from the high voltage source.
