Abstract:
To develop a driver circuit for an HID lamp and a method for operating the HID lamp for overcoming defects of the conventional technology, which means especially to avoid generation of rectification along with LF operation and generation of acoustical resonance sufficiently and simultaneously.
The problem could be solved by designing the HID lamp to be driven by a high frequency signal for a variable period of time and to depend on at least one operating parameter for the HID lamp which is adjusted after starting.
