Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure smooth operation of the pointer in a stepping motor type instrument even when a measurement signal entails an abrupt variation or an irregular fluctuation by eliminating skipping or oscillating of the pointer through double averaging and decomposition averaging. SOLUTION: A period measuring circuit 2 operates the period of an input pulse and a processing circuit 3 determines a mean temporary target oscillation angle being outputted as a designated target oscillation angle. A stepping motor type instrument 6 is driven through a drive circuit 4 which decomposes the difference between the designated target oscillation angle and a current oscillation angle into 1/N and a value incremented by the 1/N decomposition value at a time is outputted sequentially as a temporary current oscillation angle at a period shorter than a mean calculated period. On the other hand, a plurality of consecutive temporary current oscillation angles are averaged and outputted as a finally designated current oscillation angle in order to drive the stepping motor type instrument 6 through an output circuit 5 performing voltage conversion, or the like, thus turning a pointer 9 bonded to the end of a drive shaft at a designation angle corresponding the graduation 8 on a dial 7.
