To achieve a structure for preventing vibration from a support member 4 such as a chassis from being easily transmitted to a vibration element 1, and to enable the vibration of accurate specifications in the vibration element 1 in a driving arrangement that fixes a movable shaft 2 to one end of the vibration element 1 that is expanded and contracted in a specific axial direction by applying a specific voltage, and drives a movable section 5 that is subject to friction engagement with the movable shaft 2 by changing speed in the expansion and contraction of the vibration element 1 so that the movable section 5 is moved.
A damping means 10 is provided, which damps a fixing section 3 of the vibration element 1 to a support member 4 such as the chassis for supporting. As the damping means 10, a viscoelastic body having a vibration coefficient different from that of the vibration element 1 is used. As a result, unnecessary vibration from the support member 4 such as the chassis is absorbed by the damping means 10, is attenuated, and cannot be easily transmitted to the vibration element 1. Additionally, the vibration element is not affected by vibration from the outside, the vibration of the accurate specifications in the vibration element 1 can be made, and at the same time the vibration element 1 does not resonate with the damping means 10.
